Whoever gets married is like he has embarked on a boat, and when he has a child, it is like the boat has broken
{Tazkirah al-Saami wa al-Mutaklim labin Jamaa’ah}
There is always a fear of the boat sinking, and that is how a married relationship is. A student of religious knowledge should not get married before completing Islamic knowledge. Khatib Baghdadi says
It is recommended for a student of religious knowledge to remain single as much as possible. If he gets married, he is always afraid of the boat sinking, and the intensity of his pursuit of religious knowledge decreases, which leads to the end of the maturity of his knowledge. It remains
Sidi Umar Farooq Azam has said
“Agree before you become a leader”
That is, acquire knowledge before marriage
Because due to the obligations of marriage, knowledge cannot be acquired in moderation
Therefore, a student of religion should stay away from anything that disrupts his moderation
Mobile, social media, disagreements between scholars, political issues, all these create turmoil in the heart and mind of a student of religion
That is why the current student is deprived of the maturity of knowledge
