Sufism and Sufism Episode 19
Every broken thing in the world loses its value and value, except for one thing, which increases in value and value as it breaks. And that is the heart. In a hadith qudsi, Allah, the Almighty, says, “I am with the broken hearts, whose hearts are broken for My sake.” That is, My mercy is greater for those whose hearts are broken in love or fear of Me!
Even a slight affliction to a Muslim is due to Divine mercy. It is stated in the holy hadith of Muslim Sharif, “No Muslim is pricked by a thorn, and above it, a degree is recorded for him, and a sin is erased.” If a Muslim is pricked by a thorn, he is raised by one degree and a sin is erased.
Some sins are such that their expiation is only the thought of livelihood. That is, even the thought of providing lawful sustenance for one’s family can forgive sins. In short, whenever a believer’s heart is troubled, Allah’s mercy will be near. Whether it is worry about livelihood, physical hardship, or verbal abuse from any side, it is only good for a believer. He should not complain. Let his heart remain broken. Peace descends on and around a broken heart. From a broken heart springs of wisdom flow, just as springs of water flow from a broken stone. The heart of a believer is either saddened by the love of Allah or afraid of the fear of Allah. If there is neither the sadness of the love of Allah nor the feeling of the fear of Allah in the heart, then the heart is worthless than a stone! The heart that has more sadness is just as valuable a heart! I remain restless, I remain impatient, I sob and cry. This desire for the gods continues to grow, it always makes me cry.
